What we sell
A report, on screen and as a PDF by email, built from the record we read at the moment you order. The price is:
- Plant Check UK, Machinery check: £29.00. The price on the button is the whole price.
The report describes what the register said on the date and time printed on it. It is not a survey, a valuation, a legal opinion or financial advice. We do not sell, arrange or compare insurance.
Not the government
This website is operated by a private company. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by the police, CESAR, The Equipment Register or any government department.
Information in our reports is drawn from the records held by The Equipment Register. We charge a fee for finding, checking, explaining and presenting that information. You can buy the underlying check directly from The Equipment Register at its own published price. The link is shown in every report.
Our reports describe what the register said on the date the report was produced. They are not a survey, a valuation, a legal opinion or financial advice. We do not sell, arrange or compare insurance.
Cancellation
Your report is produced and delivered immediately after payment. Because it is digital content supplied straight away, you will lose your normal right to cancel within 14 days once we start producing it.
Before you pay you tick this box, and the time you ticked it is stored with your order: I want my report produced and sent to me now, and I understand that once it has been produced I lose my right to cancel this purchase and get a refund.
That is regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. It ends the right to change your mind. It does not touch your rights if the report is wrong.
If the report is wrong
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the report must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described. If it is not, you have the right to have it put right or to a price reduction, and nothing in these terms takes that away. Write to us with the order number and we will look at the record again.
What the check cannot do
The record is held by The Equipment Register and the owners, insurers and police forces who file with it. We read it, we do not make it. A theft that nobody reported to the register will not appear. The report says where its answer came from and when it was read, and if the answer could not be read the report says so.
The supplier answers by hand
The Equipment Register answers each check by hand within its stated time. Your report is produced as far as it can be at payment and completed when the answer lands. The finance search is not part of the £29.00 check, and the report says so.
